The leaders of the newly formed Pagla Thana Committee of the international human rights organization Aine Sohayata Kendro Asok Foundation paid a courtesy call on Md. Shahadat Hossain Shaon, Acting Executive Director. In this courtesy call held recently at the central office of the organization, detailed discussions were held on protecting human rights, expanding legal aid activities, standing by the helpless and oppressed people, further dynamizing organizational activities, and the future work plan of the Pagla Thana Committee. At this time, Acting Executive Director Md. Shahadat Hossain Shaon greeted the newly elected committee leaders and said that each unit of the organization must work sincerely and responsibly to establish human rights, ensure justice, and provide legal aid to the common people. He called for conducting public service activities by following the organization's policies, ideals, and constitution. The leaders of the Pagla Thana Committee also expressed their determination to work unitedly to implement the goals and objectives of the organization and pledged to play an active role in increasing human rights awareness, providing legal assistance and establishing social justice at the local level. Present at the time were the President of the Executive Committee of the Pagla Thana Committee, Md. Alal Uddin, Vice President Md. Ilias Mia, Vice President Russel Hasan, General Secretary Md. Babu Mia, Joint General Secretary Md. Mamun, Organizing Secretary Md. Roman Mia, Publicity Secretary Md. Abu Taleb, Finance Secretary Md. Nurul Islam, Honorable Member Md. Mozammel Ali, Honorable Member Md. Hasibul Hasa and Honorable Member Md. Helal Uddin. After the courtesy call, views were exchanged on mutual cooperation, coordination and taking public welfare initiatives to further accelerate the activities of the organization. Everyone expressed their determination to work together to further strengthen the establishment of human rights and legal assistance activities at the grassroots level.
